Bruit secret was first presented in 2023 as yeonsu lim’s graduation exhibition in Kassel.
The project unfolded in the unique setting of a skatepark, where sound, space, and visual presence were reconfigured into a shared performance.

At its core, the work challenged the traditional hierarchy between vision and hearing.
Through collaboration with five contemporary sound artists, distinct auditory elements were integrated into a continuous flow, creating an environment where sound did not accompany space but actively structured it.
Viewers were invited to perceive space through listening, experiencing how presence emerges when sound becomes the primary ordering principle.

Rather than repeating duchamp’s question of sound and object, bruit secret redirected attention to perception itself.
By prioritizing the auditory, the piece enacted a subtle yet radical shift in how existence is sensed: not as a fixed form, but as an event arising in the interplay of sound, space, and collective presence.
